Maine.

I went to see The Maine in LA and Anaheim last week for their Pioneer tour and you are all in for such an amazing album.  From start to finish it’s perfect and it’s so great to see the guys so happy with what they’ve created.

They also played a little video basically poking fun at everything they’ve been through…from their oversized neon clothing, to CSWS matching outfits, youtube videos about cupcakes lovers to the seriousness of B&W and signing to a major label.

After both shows were little table meet and greets and although they were short and rushed each of the guys made me feel so wonderful because they all remembered weird things that had happened with us (me&them meeting) in the past and to know that you’ve made an impact on a band that has had such an impact on you is truly amazing.

The first thing Garrett asked when I saw him is if I remembered the secret that he told me 7 months earlier which in a nutshell was Pioneer and it’s release and a lot of what went into it/what was behind it.  Something I kept from everyone for 7 months and that a majority of that conversation will stay private forever.

Kennedy then joined in on the conversation because he seemed incredibly shocked that Garrett had told someone about the record so long ago.

Pat and John always so gracious stood up and gave me big hugs and seemed so happy to see me…John mentioned how my hair gets longer and longer every time he sees me.

Pat and I joked about whether or not I’d be in Arizona at the end of this tour because I went to the last tour show in Arizona solely because him and Austin Gibbs told me I should.

Lastly Kennedy randomly asked me what the name he called me 5 months ago was because he just couldn’t for the life of him remember and he wanted to blurt it out the night before but thought I wouldn’t remember. (He randomly called me Samuel in June and it ended up being a big joke).

The Maine are one of (if not the single) most hardworking down to earth group of musicians I have ever met.  They take time to really focus on not only what they want out of their music but what we, the fans, might want.  I’ve officially seen them 20, yes 20 times and January will be 21.  I would go another 20 in a heartbeat. They are wonderful.
